Why do I need versioning for prompts?

Prompt engineering is an iterative process. You rarely get the perfect output on the first try.

Usually, the process looks like this:

1. Write a prompt.
2. Generate an image/text.
3. Tweak one word.
4. Generate again… worse result.
5. Try to remember what you had in step 1.

With PromptNote, Step 5 is solved. You can simply click back to v1 in your history. We store every “save” state as a diff, so you can clearly see what you added or removed between attempts.
